The Ministry of Water and Environment, under the Department of Water for Production prioritized construction of earth dams and multipurpose systems and facilities in Karamoja sub region. Ministry of Water and Environment Water for Production Department contracted Sering Ingegneria srl which sub contracted SADRiNE Consulting Group Limited to undertake the consultancy services. The aim of the project was to carry out the feasibility study and the preliminary design of six selected dams for provision of water in order to provide a range of options for multi-purpose water supply for livestock and irrigation development within the project area
