The challenge

The main objective of the assignment was to carry out geotechnical surveys and determine the physical and engineering properties of the subsurface soils upon which the intended new sub-station is to be built and provide recommendations from which the facilities will be designed. Specifically basing on the ToR, SADRiNE was required to; Carry out preliminary site reconnaissance, carry out Soil resistivity (ERT) test, and Conduct field explorations including: excavation of 2 trial pits, core drilling of 2 boreholes, collecting of disturbed and undisturbed samples, water table monitoring, carry out laboratory testing and present a report of the findings
